Hany Shaker responded to Al-Mashhad TV, saying, "Where have the singers who criticized the Arab Dream been since this operetta was released? These opinions being raised on social media recently are only meant to stir controversy and create a trend, nothing more. I completely reject this kind of talk."

He added, "The Arab Dream was a successful and beautiful work, loved by people and interacted with it with complete sincerity. Those involved in its production and execution intended to deliver a message of Arab unity, not a commercial endeavor as some try to portray it. This is an intention that no one has the right to question today."
