Ricky Martin performs his first concert in Abu Dhabi

Hayakom in Abu Dhabi, the tourism identity of the Department of Culture and Tourism, has announced that global pop star Ricky Martin will join the Layali Al Saadiyat concert program for the 2025-2026 season. He will make his debut in the UAE capital on January 31, 2026, at the outdoor stage on Saadiyat Island.

Ricky Martin's concert is part of a series of international performances. The season will also host Italian pianist Ludovico Einaudi on January 10, followed by Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi on January 17. Additional concerts are expected to be announced soon, adding to the program's exciting lineup.

An artistic career spanning more than 30 years

Ricky Martin is known as the "King of Latin Pop." His career spanning more than 30 years has seen remarkable success, beginning with his debut album in 1991. In 2025, he received the first-ever Latin Icon Award at the MTV Video Music Awards, in recognition of his significant role in spreading Latin music and culture worldwide.

His participation in the recent VMAs reaffirmed his prominent position in the scene, after he lit up the stage with his timeless songs, most notably “Livin' la Vida Loca.”

It's worth noting that Martin's work remains popular, with his hit song "Livin' la Vida Loca" returning to the top of the Billboard Latin Digital Songs chart in September 2025, more than 25 years after its release. This achievement reflects his continued influence and presence on the music scene.
