Rihanna performs at the Oscars with the same award-nominated song

It is not strange for a star the size of Rihanna to perform a huge party such as the upcoming 95th Academy Awards, but the irony is that Rihanna will perform the song "Lift Me Up" for the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is the song nominated for the Best Song Award in the Oscar competitions.

This is the first time in her professional history that she has been nominated for an Oscar, according to what the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences revealed through a post on its Instagram page.

And last October, the superstar released Lift Me Up, her first single in nearly seven years, with the singer's last album Anti in 2016. The song appeared on the soundtrack to the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and is a tribute to the late actor Chadwick Boseman.

Rihanna recently performed at the Super Bowl, commenting before the ceremony, "Musically, I feel open to exploration, discovery and creating new things, things that are different, things that are out of the ordinary."

Rihanna also touched on motherhood, saying, "When a woman becomes a mother, she feels like she can take on the world, you can do anything."

A nine-time Grammy Award winner, Rihanna has 14 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including "We Found Love," "Work," "Umbrella," and "Disturbia." She and rapper A$AP Rocky.
