Safi hosts the twenty-second Aita Festival

Attention is currently turning to the Moroccan city of Safi, which is hosting the activities of the twenty-second session of the Aita Festival.

Al-Aita is a documentation of memory This year, the festival will be held under the slogan “Aita Documentation of Memory.” The festival will open in the cultural center “City of Arts and Culture,” and the rest of the festival’s activities will be held at the Grand Theater in Moulay Youssef Square.

The festival's activities will be held in the period from July 18 to 21, with many bands representing different styles of "Ayout" at the national level participating in the festival, such as Al-Hasbawi, Al-Shizmi, the Amazigh, Al-Kharibaki, Al-Houzi, Al-Zaari, Al-Marsaoui, Al-Jabali, with The presence of a number of artists, including Abdel Aziz Al-Sattati, Walid Al-Rahmani, Saeed Ould Al-Hawat, and Abdullah Al-Daoudi.

This session of the festival will include a tribute to two prominent figures in the art of “Aita” who provided many services to this type of art: the artist Naima Benradouane and the artist Mohamed Nouni.
