Salah Abdullah sees the niqab as a “mass of blackness” and rejects prank programs

Egyptian artist Salah Abdullah confirmed his rejection of the idea of the niqab or his daughters wearing it, and his preference only for the hijab and modesty.

He said during a television interview on the “Ink Secret” program on “Cairo Wal Nas” satellite channel: “What do you mean, I can’t distinguish a man from a woman, and I don’t care if a man or a woman enters my house? These things create sensitivity and problems with fanatics and people who insult, but we are used to them.” .

Salah Abdullah added: “This is my conviction.. The niqab, which is the mass of blackness, is not like Islam, and God knows best.. If one of my daughters told me she wanted to wear the niqab, it would be very difficult and I would refuse.. If she did that, I would try to convince her, but if she insisted on wearing it, it would remain a problem.” .

He added, "The idea of the niqab is a problem for me and my daughters. They can be veiled, and I did not raise my daughters in this way, with respect and modesty, and their mother as well, but freely, not imposed, and I believe in freedom."

He continued: "My conviction so far is that the niqab is a mass of black, and is not an Islamic costume, and God knows best."

In response to a question about how he would behave if his daughter decided to wear the niqab, Salah Abdullah said: “It will remain a problem, and I may try to convince her to wear the hijab and be modest, but not to this degree and without exaggeration, and this is not the way I raise my daughters because I believe in freedom.”

He added: "My conviction so far is that the niqab is a mass of black, and is not an Islamic dress, and God knows best."

He added, "The idea of the niqab is a problem for me and my daughters. They can be veiled, and I did not raise my daughters in this way, with respect and modesty, and their mother as well, but freely, not imposed, and I believe in freedom."

Salah Abdullah talks about Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Helmy Abdullah added: “I had little luck and did not act with them even when they were young. There are stars who have become superstars and mega stars with whom I previously participated in acting when they were young.”

But Abdullah added: “There will be a problem after I make this statement. If I receive offers to participate with them, I will apologize.” He justified: “I have never declared my wish to participate in acting with anyone.”

He added: "I love them...but it is possible that they do not love me. This is possible."
