The retired artist Shams Al-Baroudi shared her sorrows with her fans after the death of her husband, the artist Hassan Youssef, through her personal page on the famous social networking site "Facebook" and wrote a post in which she said: "I try with all my certainty and faith to be patient, thank God and accept his judgment, and I am patient, but I shed tears, without stopping, memories of life in every dwelling and moment, I apologize to those around me, I do not know what this weakness and spiritual frailty is, I seek forgiveness from God, and I call upon Him to strengthen my certainty and grant me the moments of the first shock and the hours and days after it, but the passage of time shakes me with sadness over the separation from my beloved Abdullah, the companion of my life, my support and my hopes after God, my partner in my breaths and the feelings of my soul and all the moments of my days and my life, my beloved husband."

Al-Baroudi added: “Most of the time, I am surrounded by my sons, sisters, my beloved’s sister, her daughters, and my friends, trying to pull me out of the tragedy of separation and the pain of grief. I go along with them until I am alone, and I burst into tears that shake my insides and the folds of my chest, tears I have never known before.”
