Sharjah for Social Empowerment wins Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Award

Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation won the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Award for Best Charitable Performance in the Arab World in its third session, in recognition of its success in applying administrative and strategic standards that reflect performance evaluation in various elements and that are in line with the best international practices in the field of charitable and humanitarian work, and the importance of the role of charitable institutions in the Arab world in promoting a culture of excellence in this sector.

Her Excellency Sheikha Jameela Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, congratulated the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation on winning the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Award for Best Charitable Performance in the Arab World, stressing that this achievement reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in caring for our orphans in Sharjah, and his constant commitment to promoting development and investing in human development, with the aim of providing a better future for all.

She added that this interest is embodied in the integrated care provided to orphans, as efforts in the Emirate of Sharjah are not limited to meeting their material and moral needs only, but also include enhancing their capabilities to achieve comprehensive and sustainable empowerment.

Mona Bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, expressed her thanks and gratitude to those in charge of this award, appreciating their trust, high professionalism and efforts made to achieve quality work.

She stressed that the Foundation’s winning of the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Award for Best Charitable Performance at the Arab World Level in the category of Large Institutions reflects the quality of administrative systems and strategic and operational performance based on scientific standards. These achievements also embody the Foundation’s commitment to its vision and mission in achieving sustainable empowerment for orphans and their families.

She added that the Foundation always seeks to advance and excel in institutional performance, by adopting the best creative practices, which contributes to the continuous development of humanitarian services provided to orphan families. The Foundation aims to reach new global standards of excellence, while continuing to leave a sustainable imprint to enhance the quality of life of our orphan children, to become a leading model in the field of orphan care at the local and global levels.

She explained that the Foundation’s receipt of this award is of great importance, as it enhances our credibility in the local and regional communities. This recognition also contributes to building public confidence in the Foundation’s ability to bring about positive change and work with transparency and efficiency. It also gives us the opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge with other institutions at the regional level, which enables it to develop new strategies and benefit from successful experiences in various fields. It also enhances the sustainability of humanitarian projects, which places it in a leading position to provide innovative and sustainable projects that benefit orphan families.

The honoring ceremony was held in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in the presence of Dr. Issa bin Hassan Al Ansari, Secretary General of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Humanitarian Development, and Director General of the Arab Administrative Development Organization.

Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation is one of the winners in the large institutions category, as 300 charitable institutions applied for the award, and 188 institutions from various Arab countries were nominated.

The number of large institutions was 51, while there were 70 medium-sized institutions and 67 small institutions from 17 countries. 30 winning institutions were selected, distributed equally among the three categories: large, medium and small.
