The official spokesperson for the artist Sherine Abdel Wahab and her personal lawyer, legal advisor “Yasser Qantoush”, confirmed in a statement that the contract has already been terminated, as the artist Sherine Abdel Wahab paid the fine and that Article Four of her contract with Rotana stipulates that if fulfilling the obligations contained in this contract becomes impossible, God forbid, the implementation of this contract will be suspended for a period not exceeding six months, and if it is not possible at the end of that period to implement this contract, either party has the right to terminate the contract without bearing any responsibility towards the other party.

Mr. Qantoush explained that Sherine Abdel Wahab signed the contract with Rotana in January 2019, and that the contract will officially be valid for three years from the date of signing, i.e. until January 2022. Thus, any case or lawsuit by Rotana against his client is over and therefore the court should not pay attention to it.
