She explained that she had been eating large quantities of the foods she loved, such as pigeon, trotters, chicken, sausage and pasta, as part of her farewell to food before changing her diet.<br><br> After the operation, although she did not feel any pain, Shaima suffered from sugar withdrawal and had to live on IVs for a week before she was able to drink juice. She described this period as difficult, as she had a strong desire to eat chocolate and food.</p><h3 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <span style="color:hsl(187, 48%, 51%);">Encouragement and support from Mai Kassab and fellow artists</span></h3><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Shimaa touched on the influence of artist Mai Kassab on her decision to undergo gastric sleeve surgery, saying that Mai was one of her biggest supporters, in addition to the encouragement of the doctor following up on her case.
