Nada Kousa, Miss Lebanon 2024 , caught the eye during her participation in the 73rd Miss Universe pageant currently being held in Mexico, with her look inspired by Lebanese heritage.

Lebanese designer Joe Chalita is the one who created this iconic look, and he published the details of the design on his official Instagram account, describing it with words that express his love for the country and its history.

Lebanon's gift to the world The designer described the dress, and talked about its inspiration and the purple color, in a video clip that showed the precise design details and the high craftsmanship required. Joe Shalita wrote:

Official apology and confirmation of participation Nada Kousa explained that the stance of the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism and LBC had put pressure on the organizers, as they sent an official apology and removed the offensive video from their official Instagram platform. Nada confirmed that the organization had provided assurances that what had happened did not represent the values of the competition, and that she would personally apologize upon her arrival in Mexico.
