Teaser for the movie "Marriage or a Funeral" starring Nelly Karim and Sherif Salama has been released.

The Artists Union for Cinema and Video announced the release of a teaser for the film "Marriage or a Funeral," directed by Amira Diab. The film is scheduled to be released in Egyptian cinemas on September 24, and in other Arab countries on September 25.

The director of the movie "Marriage or Funeral" reveals its behind-the-scenes details.

The work represents the first feature-length narrative experience for director Amira Diab, and was co-written by her and Dina Maher. Maher confirmed that she was delighted to collaborate with Diab, noting that the director presented a strong treatment of the story, with an exciting introduction to the characters.

“We had several working sessions where we tried out several ideas until we arrived at the final form that will be presented to the audience on screen,” she said.

Dina Maher explained that what distinguished her collaboration with Amira Diab was the alignment of visions and ideas around what they wanted to present through the film. She added, "I am grateful that she made me a part of the creative process. It is important for a writer to experience the places where the events take place, rather than merely imagine them. It was an enjoyable experience from which I learned a lot."

Maher emphasized that the goal was always to strike a balance between the film's message and its reliance on situations and diverse characters as a source of laughter, explaining that the interaction of people from different worlds will provide the audience with a sense of comedy mixed with suspense.

Heroes and story of "Marriage but no funeral" The film takes place in a social, comedic, suspenseful setting, full of paradoxes. Members of two families, connected only by blood, are forced to spend seven days together in a magical destination in preparation for a lavish wedding for their two sons.

The film "Marriage or a Funeral" features a host of prominent names in Arab cinema, including Nelly Karim, Sherif Salama, Lebleba, Lebanese actor Adel Karam, Entesar, Mahmoud El-Bezawy, Amir Salah El-Din, and Donia Maher. This is a new Arab experience that blends elements of social drama, romance, and comedy, within a formula that its creators are betting on to attract a diverse audience.
