The episode was full of suspense, starting with the attempted assassination of Muawiyah, passing through the visit of Omar bin Al-Khattab, and reaching the sad scene of the assassination of the Commander of the Faithful and the transfer of the caliphate to Othman bin Affan.<br><br> The assassination attempt of Muawiyah and the emergence of Ahmed Badr<br><br> The episode opens with a suspenseful scene, where Muawiyah is subjected to an assassination attempt while walking in the Damascus market, but it fails, which increases the state of tension and suspicion about those involved in the conspiracy.<br><br> In this context, Ahmed Bedier appears as “Abu Al-Ayham”, an old merchant who has dealings with the Romans, which makes him a suspect for Muawiyah. Events become complicated after it is discovered that his warehouse was a refuge for three men who planned to assassinate him, so he is lured in an attempt to uncover the truth. In the end, Abu Al-Ayham confesses that he was forced to work with the Romans after they took his son hostage, and here Muawiyah makes a smart decision not to punish him, but rather asks him to continue dealing with them but according to his own instructions.<br><br> Omar bin Al-Khattab's visit to Muawiyah's palace<br><br> In another pivotal scene, Omar ibn al-Khattab arrives at Muawiyah’s palace after hearing about his style of rule in Damascus. Muawiyah opens up a discussion with him about the importance of “prestige” in governance, but Omar confronts him sternly, emphasizing that governance should be based on justice, not the stick and scepter.<br><br> Despite the difference in points of view, Muawiyah was able to convince Omar of his approach to dealing with the people of the Levant, and it became clear that his administrative style was different, but it achieved stability in the region.<br><br> The assassination of Omar bin Al-Khattab and the transfer of the caliphate to Othman<br><br> The saddest and most moving moment in the episode was the assassination of Omar bin Al-Khattab, where Abu Lu'lu'ah the Magian carried out the assassination during the dawn prayer, stabbing him several times fatally before committing suicide.<br><br> After the martyrdom of Omar, prominent figures meet to discuss who will assume the caliphate, and it is agreed that it will be between Ali ibn Abi Talib and Uthman ibn Affan, leaving the matter to the Muslims to consult. In the end, Uthman ibn Affan is pledged allegiance to as caliph of the Muslims, with the blessing of Ali ibn Abi Talib.<br><br> Mass production of the series "Muawiyah" in Ramadan 2025<br><br> The series continues to present a powerful dramatic portrait of that historical period that shaped the future of the Islamic world.
