The most prominent activities of the Monodrama Theater Festival in Syria

The activities of the Fifth Monodrama Theatrical Festival opened yesterday evening, which is organized by the General Directorate of Theater and Music and the General Directorate of Culture and National Theater in the Syrian city of Hama on the stage of the Cultural Center in Hama with the new play “The Story of a Soul” by director Camelia Boutros.

The opening of the festival with a screening of the story of a soul In a press statement, the writer and director of the play, Camellia Boutros, explained that this play revolves around life and the echoes of the inner folds of the soul against the backdrop of all the contradictions that exist in our lives, such as love, passion, betrayal, treachery and fear, and that the play talks about a judge who falls in love with a young man who is lower in educational level than her, and who opposes her. She is satisfied with this relationship, and then he begins to show signs of betrayal, lying, and greed for her money, as the folds of the soul begin to change from a state of love and adoration to a state of betrayal and treachery.

The Monodrama Festival is an important annual tradition Mr. Sami Taha, Director of the Hama Culture Department, spoke about the importance of the festival, noting that the Monodrama Festival has become an annual ritual for theater lovers in Hama, and this year witnessed a remarkable development in terms of performances, youth participation, and attracting prominent audiences.

Program of the Monodrama Festival in the city of Hama The festival opened yesterday evening, Monday, July 22, with a theatrical performance entitled “The Story of a Soul,” written and directed by Camellia Boutros, at the Cultural Center in Hama at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday 23 July:

A lecture entitled (My Experience - Monodrama, a Novel in a Scene) presented by A. Muhammad Ahmed Khoja in the lecture hall of the Directorate of Culture in Hama at 11 am.

A theatrical performance entitled (Gilgamesh) 2024, written by Khalaf Ali Al-Khalaf, directed by Ayham Aisha, at the Cultural Center in Salamiyah at 7 pm.

A theatrical performance entitled (The Present), written by Chekhov and directed by Fadi Al-Yassin, at the Arab Cultural Center in Hama at 8:30 pm. Wednesday 24 July:

A lecture entitled (Theatrical Monodrama Festival in Hama: Presence and Development) written by Mustafa Al-Samoudi in the lecture hall of the Directorate of Culture in Hama at 11 am.

Theatrical performance (The Digger and the Strangers), written by Dr. Youssef Hatini - directed by Nabil Jaquish - Muhammad Al-Shaarani, at the Arab Cultural Center in Salamiyah at 7 pm.

Theatrical performance (Red_Clay) written by Muhammad Samir Tahan and directed by Mahmoud Abdel Baqi at the Arab Cultural Center in Hama at 8:30 pm.

Thursday 25 July:

A lecture entitled (Monodrama in International Theaters) written by Dr. Walid Al-Attar in the lecture hall of the Directorate of Culture in Hama at 11 am.

A theatrical performance (Ayoub), written and directed by Zeinati Qudsia, at the Arab Cultural Center in Salamiyah at 7 pm.
