In a strange incident, a rare cow with three legs surprised the residents of the Raparin area in the Kurdistan Region after its pictures were circulated on social media, which prompted many to wonder about the nature of this case.

The price of a cow exceeded 1.3 million dinars. The owner of the cow bought it in its first months and it is now over a year old. He pointed out that its price reached one million dinars, which is about 200 thousand dinars higher than the price of normal cows, but its owner refuses to sell it for this amount and is asking for one million and 300 thousand dinars.

Medical opinion on these cases Veterinarian Dr. Othman Jamal said in press statements that cases of missing or excess animal organs are not new, as animals with multiple deformities, such as having two or three legs or even two heads, appear annually in several areas.

He also pointed out that the life expectancy of these animals is often shorter, depending on the nature of the deficiency or excess in the organs.

The doctor confirmed that there are genetic causes that are often hereditary, and sometimes these animals may be affected by taking chemicals or medications at inappropriate times, in addition to environmental factors that may cause these deformities.

Consuming the meat of these animals does not pose a risk to human health, as they are nutritionally sound.
