<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">The UAE government participated in the official opening of the Global GovTech Hub in Berlin, which was launched within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the World Economic Forum and the GovTech Campus in Germany, with the aim of employing the transformative potential of digital technology in developing government services worldwide.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Global Centre for Government Technology is the latest qualitative addition to the World Economic Forum’s network of Fourth Industrial Revolution Centres and is the first of its kind to specialise in promoting government technology solutions aimed at accelerating the global government digital transformation.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The centre was inaugurated in the presence of His Excellency Eng. Mohammed Bin Taliah, Head of Government Services in the UAE Government, Borge Brande, President of the World Economic Forum, and Dr. Markus Richter, Deputy Minister at the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community, and Federal Government Commissioner for Information Technology in Germany.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Mohammed bin Taliah stressed the UAE government’s keenness to enhance the use of technology in business development processes and government services, based on its belief in the important role of advanced technology in leading change and modernization efforts and enhancing efficiency, flexibility and future readiness of government work.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> “Governments around the world are facing unprecedented challenges in harnessing new technologies to build more inclusive societies at a time when public trust is more important than ever,” said Børge Brende, President of the World Economic Forum. “The Global GovTech Hub in Berlin will serve as a hub for innovation and experimentation and provide an opportunity to empower citizens through technology.”</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Manuel Kilian, Director General of the Global Centre for Government Technology, stressed the importance of international cooperation in the government technology sector, saying: “The main goal of the centre is to enhance cooperation and knowledge exchange, enabling governments to learn from each other and advance collectively, which positively impacts societies around the world. He pointed out that the participation of the UAE government in the opening of the centre was an addition to the event in terms of the distinguished experience presented in employing technology to improve lives, with a focus on remote litigation services.”</p>
