U.S. News and World Report: Egypt and Morocco among the best countries in the world

Three African countries, including Morocco, were ranked among the world's best countries for 2024, according to the US News and World Report ranking, which was compiled in collaboration with the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and the global marketing firm WPP.

Morocco's development strategy also plays a prominent role in strengthening its presence, amid international acclaim for its political stability and the effectiveness of its economic policies.

Precise criteria to ensure credibility To provide reliable results, the compilers relied on preliminary qualification criteria, including a minimum GDP, tourism volume, and foreign direct investment flows. The final scores were calculated based on GDP per capita at purchasing power parity (PPP), which reflects each country's relative economic prosperity.

This ranking comes amid accelerating international transformations, with countries of the Global South, including Africa, seeking to consolidate their position as emerging powers. The report indicates that a nation's strength is no longer measured solely by its economic size, but also by its cultural influence, openness to innovation, quality of life, and social dimension.
