Varane retires from football..Defense legend closes a golden chapter

French defender Raphael Varane, a player for the Italian team Como, announced his retirement from football after a career that lasted more than 14 years.

Varane retires from football Varane posted on his official Instagram account a post in which he explained: “I faced many challenges and succeeded in overcoming them, some of which seemed impossible. I lived unforgettable moments and memories that will stay with me for life.”

He added: "When I reflect on these moments, I feel proud and accomplished, and today I announce my retirement from the game that we all love."

He continued: "I have always held myself to the highest standards of performance, and I want to finish my career strong, not just stay in the game. It takes a lot of courage to listen to your heart and your instincts."

"Desires and needs are different, and I have fallen and risen many times, but now it is time to stop and hang up my boots, after winning the cup in my last match at Wembley," he said.

"I loved fighting for myself, for the clubs I played for, for my country, for my teammates, for the fans who supported me from Lens to Madrid and Manchester, and for playing for the national team," he added.

He stressed: "I defended every slogan with everything I had, and enjoyed every minute of my career. Playing at the highest level is an exceptional experience that tests all your physical and mental capabilities."

He continued: "The feelings we experience as players cannot be found anywhere else. We do not feel satisfied easily and success does not fill us up, but it is what drives us to continue."

He concluded by saying: "I have no regrets, and I would not change anything in my career. I won more than I dreamed of, but what matters to me more than the titles is that I stuck to my principles and remained honest."

Finally, he said: "I have always tried to leave a positive impression wherever I have been. I hope I have made you proud. Now a new stage begins off the pitch, where I will continue my career with Como, but this time without boots and shin guards. Thanks to everyone, and with love, Rafa."

It is worth noting that Varane joined Manchester United in 201 after moving from Real Madrid, and participated in 93 matches in various tournaments with the team and scored two goals. He also represented his country in 93 international matches in which he scored 5 goals.
