<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Today, a press conference was held at the headquarters of the Syrian Artists Syndicate in Damascus, in which the Syndicate’s work plan for the year 2025 was approved, headed by...<br> Appointing a legal committee to begin work on amending the union's laws and regulations in preparation for holding fair and legal elections.</p><h3 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <span style="color:hsl(187, 48%, 51%);">Several decisions were also made, the most prominent of which are:</span></h3><ol style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><li style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Regulating the problems of unfair union investments made under unfair contracts</li><li style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Working to raise the ceiling of health insurance and retirement salaries to the maximum<br> Honorary membership granted to the martyr Basil Shehadeh</li><li style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Work is underway to transfer the remains of artists Mai Skaf and Fadwa Suleiman to their homeland.</li><li style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Seriously follow up on everything related to the artist martyrs of the revolution and know their fates accurately.</li><li style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The appointment of many professionals in technical professions who had not been appointed previously for many reasons.</li><li style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The conference also included a response from the head of the union, Mazen Al-Nattour, to the statements of director Al-Laith Hajjo, in which he criticized the work of the union and what the head of the union had done recently.</li><li style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The union had issued a decision to remove the membership of four members from the Central Union Council.<br> The artists are: Amal Huwaija, Mays Harb, Nour Mahna, and Mohammed Al-Rashi. The Syndicate also terminated the appointment of Youssef Abdo as a member of the Central Council, due to his deviation from the Syndicate’s goals, according to the decision.<br> The union confirmed that the reason for the two decisions was the issuance of actions that were inconsistent with the values and principles of union work.</li><li style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Syndicate appointed six members to its Central Council: Hussein Al-Mutlaq as Secretary, in addition to Cosette Bakir, Jihad Azar, Rawaa Yassin, Zuhair Qanou, and Ali Al-Qasim.</li><li style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> On the other hand, on May 4, the head of the Syrian Artists Syndicate, Mazen Al-Nattour, rescinded the decision issued by the Syndicate Council to withdraw confidence from him as head of the Syndicate, via a statement issued by the Syndicate's Facebook page.</li></ol>
