Ward El Khal criticizes the art makers: "They work against the people and their desires."

Lebanese star Ward El Khal expressed her sadness over the lack of Lebanese dramas that focus on "Lebanon and its local context," after producers turned to platform dramas. She added that talented actors are now waiting for a good role and a skilled writer to showcase their skills, but their wait has been long and fruitless.

Ward El Khal added in media statements that there are those who are trying to remove competent actors from the spotlight and replace them with something "similar to the era of social media," adding that there are those who desire this and are implementing it on the ground, noting that there has become suffering and a dearth of "local" drama productions, to the point that "we can say that local drama no longer exists, and the situation is unacceptable."

Television is losing its position Al-Khal went on to describe the current artistic scene , saying, "On the other hand, television is losing its status day after day, as people shift to online platforms. There are actors who have waited a long time to rise to this challenge, but the challenge itself wasn't ready to meet us."

Ward El Khal continued by saying that there are young, professional actors who are still marginalized for reasons she described as "well-known," attributing the reason to the fact that the artistic field has become similar to "a political system that works against the people and their desires."
