"We Love the Egyptian Woman" Soprano Amira Selim's Surprise to Her Fans

The international soprano Amira Selim is currently engaged in intensive work sessions to present a new and different song to the audience in the Egyptian dialect, in cooperation with the Tunisian artist and musician Iskandar Al-Qatari and the Tunisian writer and poet Rafqa Ben Ali, under the name “We Love the Egyptian Woman.”

Amira Salim talks about “We Love the Egyptian Woman” Soprano Amira Selim explained that the work sessions began a long time ago, to present the style she wants to present in the field of songs, especially since she has had a long-standing desire to present songs that are close to the audience since she studied opera singing.

She added that she did not have the opportunity at the time to present that style, and she merged into her field of specialization in classical music and opera, adding that “singing in the popular pop style for an opera singer is different from operatic singing, which depends on the strength of the voice and its space, the different layers, and the strong vocal expression that expresses a story or a narrative.”

Amira Salim expresses her happiness to cooperate with Rafika Ben Ali Salim expressed her great happiness with her cooperation with the Tunisian poet Rafqa Ben Ali, who presented poetry in the Tunisian language, and Amira Salim Egyptianized it and added the Egyptian spirit to the song, as it faced many changes during its preparation and various sessions in order for it to come out differently for the Egyptian audience, whether in the lyrics, composition or distribution.

Amira added that she is also collaborating on her new song "Benheb El Masryia" with Iskandar El Ktari, a comprehensive artist, musician, composer and distributor, and she has had a strong friendship with him for many years.

They decided to cooperate to present a new style different from the usual, noting that "Iskandar" understood the nature of her artistic talent and her desire for vocal expression, and took many years of preparation on several previous songs until she reached the style she was looking for.

She pointed out that the song "We Love the Egyptian Woman" expresses real daily life with different nationalities and interests, and it is not an easy thing at all for an opera singer to express it to the audience and reach the heart without trying to show off the strength of the voice, which is a big challenge for her.
