Writer and producer Farouk Sabry passed away due to a health problem

The well-known Egyptian producer and writer Farouk Sabry passed away yesterday evening, Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the age of 80, after suffering from illness.

The death of producer Farouk Sabry The Syndicate of Cinematic Professions mourned the late writer, who served as President of the Chamber of Cinema Industry, as the Syndicate issued a statement in which it said: “The Council of the Syndicate of Cinematic Professions, headed by director Massad Fouda, President of the Union of Arab Artists, mourns with great sadness and sorrow the producer and screenwriter Farouk Sabry, President of the Chamber of Cinema Industry, who passed away.” He passed away shortly after a difficult illness.

The artist Khaled Sarhan also published a post in which he mourned the producer Farouk Sabry, and commented: “With great sadness and sadness, I condole my brother and friend, the producer Walid Farouk Sabry, on the death of his father, the great writer and head of the Chamber of Film Industry, Mr. Farouk Sabry.”

The funeral is scheduled to be held in the afternoon of Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Mustafa Mahmoud Mosque in the Mohandiseen district in Cairo, and in the evening the funeral will be held at the Police Mosque in the Sheikh Zayed district.

It is worth noting that the family of the deceased requested that there be no media coverage of the funeral in order to preserve the privacy of the event.

The most important information about the late Farouk Sabry Farouk Sabry was born in Egypt in 1936. He was an Egyptian screenwriter and producer and wrote many feature films since the mid-sixties. He is the father of both the late blogger and journalist Bassem Sabry and the film producer and distributor Walid Sabry.

During his professional career, Sabry worked with a number of Egypt’s most famous stars, including Adel Imam , Samir Ghanem, Nour El Sherif, Samir Sabry , Elham Shaheen , and Lebleba . The late actor is considered one of the most prominent screenwriters and producers of the last century.
