The son of artist Ahmed El-Sakka and media personality Maha El-Sagheer chose not to engage in any details or public discussions, in a clear attempt to ease the tension surrounding the family.

After days of speculation and rumors, star Ahmed El Sakka settled the controversy by officially announcing his separation from his wife, Maha El Sagheer, after more than 25 years of marriage. Al-Sakka posted a statement on his Facebook account, which read:

“For anyone wondering, Ms. Maha Mohamed Abdel Moneim and I have been separated for 6 months, and we officially divorced about 2 months ago… I currently live for my children, my work, my close friends, my mother, and my sister. I wish my children’s mother all the best and protection.”

The announcement came to put an end to speculation, confirming that the two parties have chosen to separate quietly and respectfully.

Media personality Basma Wahba shed light on another side of the story when she revealed, while presenting the program "90 Minutes" on Al-Mahwar TV, a phone call she had with actor Ahmed El-Sakka. Wahba said:

“The artist Ahmed El-Sakka contacted me today, and we had a phone call that lasted about an hour, during which I heard a story that was completely different from what is being circulated.”

She confirmed that El-Sakka seemed affected by the reactions and made some points that cannot be fully disclosed, out of respect for confidentiality. She noted that Maha El-Sagheer has the right to respond if she wishes to clarify her position later.
