Lebanese actress Zeina Makki stole the spotlight in her first runway appearance at Dubai Fashion Week. She described to Fuchsia the personal and emotional meaning of the move, emphasizing that it was an exceptional experience that brought her both challenges and joy.

An unforgettable experience on the Runway

Zeina Makki spoke about the moment she stepped onto the Runway, saying, “It was an amazing experience. As soon as I started walking, everything around me melted away, and I stepped into a powerful character, like the main character.” She added that the initial nervousness quickly dissipated with her first step, especially as she was thinking about her friend, designer Sabrina, and the tremendous effort she had put into presenting her new collection.

Friendship is the motivation for sharing.

Mekki explained that her decision wasn't driven by a desire to pursue a career in modeling, but rather by friendship. "I'm not a model, but Sabrina is my friend, and I've always loved wearing her designs. When she asked me to open and close the show, I agreed immediately," she said, concluding her experience with one word: "Love."

A childhood dream comes true after twenty years

Zeina recalled a distant memory from her teenage days in Kuwait, when she participated in a small show at the age of sixteen, before later studying directing. She emphasized that her participation in Dubai Fashion Week represented the fulfillment of a childhood dream after nearly twenty years, adding, "I felt like life was strange... I had lived an experience that little Zeina had dreamed of."

Mekki's presence wasn't limited to her role as a temporary model; she also attracted attention with her striking beauty look. Her makeup featured thick, sweeping eyeliner that enhanced her gaze and added a bold edge to her features, while her hairstyle was modern yet simple, with a wet bob adding an elegant touch that harmonized with the show's atmosphere and the spirit of Dubai Fashion Week.
